Abbots Bromley
The charming village of Abbots Bromley is internationally known for its annual Horn Dance, a custom that recalls a pagan ceremony of prehistoric days.

During the Middle Ages the village developed as an important stopping point for coaches travelling between Manchester and Birmingham. During this time, too, there was a thriving market, with stocks in the centre of the market and bear baiting a favourite sport. The market was originally established in 1222 and the Market Cross dates from 1377.
The Georgian facades of Crofts House, Cedar Cottage and Norfolk House, Bagot Almshouse and Church House are all of interest and for the flagging spirit any one of the five public houses, remaining from the old time total of thirteen, along the main street offer both interest and hospitality.
