The National Brewery Centre

The ‘Brewing Experience’ at the NBC incorporates large elements of the original Bass Museum. Learn about the legendary Bass family and their role in the development of brewing. The museum also celebrates the social history of the development of brewing – the real life experiences and stories of the people who helped to build Burton’s world-renowned brewing reputation.

Tours start with a holographic- style presentation of the history of brewing, then our experienced guides take visitors through each step of the brewing process and explain the fascinating roles that the steam engines and vintage vehicles on show played in the development of the industry. The William Worthington micro-brewery brings the tour up to the present day – with the chance to sample some great local ales brewed on site!

Specialist guided group tours of the Centre and the modern Molson Coors Brewery next door are also available – and can be combined with superb Beer and Food Matching lunches or dinners.

A great range of special events are also staged throughout the year.

The National Brewery Centre is also a unique location for corporate functions or weddings. The listed Victorian buildings provide an impressive setting for any event. The historic environment is perfectly complemented by the range of function rooms available, ranging from character suites for 50 up to our impressive 350 seated capacity marquee. Our experienced event organisers and catering team can deliver to the most exacting requirements.
