Lavender cottage is a character self catering holiday cottage for couples with a log woodburner for cosy evenings by a roaring log fire!

Situated in the historical part of the beautiful village of Alton in the Staffordshire Moorlands, this quaint little cottage can be found on a quiet country lane but within walking distance of the village shops, post office, churches, historical monuments and several pubs and restaurants.

The Staffordshire Peak District offers you all the excitement of the Alton Towers resort and lovers of the outdoor life can head for natural playgrounds that include The Roaches and the Staffordshire Moorlands. Discover bustling market towns such as Leek and Uttoxeter or head to the world capital of ceramics, Stoke-on-Trent.

The National Trust features locally with Biddulph Grange, Calke Abbey, Chatsworth, Dovedale, Ilam Park and Sudbury Museum of Childhood are all within a few miles drive.

Ashbourne, with its many shops and restaurants, gateway to Dovedale and the Peak District National Park, is within 10 miles.

Alton Castle, Dimmingsdale, the Churnet Valley Geotrail and the Staffordshire Way are all within walking distance!
