Bluebell Woods of Yoxall Lodge
When that wood has a heritage dating back to the ancient Needwood forest with oaks that may well have seen wolves and wild boar beneath their branches, the experience can be as humbling as it is magical.
With some 100 acres of native woodland and pasture on the family run, working farm at Yoxall Lodge, the walks offer a variety of habitats that support a wealth of flora and fauna. There are 5 different walks ranging from a gentle half mile stroll to a more robust 2 ½ mile walk that incorporates the rolling parkland and lake, as well as the woodland paths.
Whichever walk you choose you will be sure to enjoy some of the finest, unspoilt woodland and natural flora that Staffordshire has to offer.
As a reward visitors can treat themselves to a slice of delicious homemade cake or cream tea in the garden and pick up a jar of homemade jam or plant as a reminder of a truly peaceful day out in the beautiful English countryside.
