Things to Do and Places to Visit

Britain’s boldest environmental project, the ‘National Forest’ encompasses much of East Staffordshire and this magnificent 200 sq mile forest in the making, is bursting with places to visit.

Explore the delightful Trent Washlands in Burton upon Trent or find out more about the town's brewing heritage at the National Brewery Centre.

In addition to being a haven for walking, cycling and horse-riding there is also the thrill of a visit to the races at Uttoxeter Racecourse in one of Staffordshire's oldest market towns Uttoxeter. Go back to Norman England at Tutbury Castle, which housed Mary Queen of Scots, or come bang up to date at the brand new Barton Marina complex – whatever you do, East Staffordshire has something for everyone.
